Job Purpose:
To support
and coordinate with the assigned
Strategic Business Unit (SBU) / Function for implementation of WCM Framework,
Sub Committees, Six Sigma and integrate the same with the company's key
performance indicators. Identify, prioritize, plan and implement all innovative
ideas; which will be subjected to regular measurement of efficiency and

Provide support in managing the Sustainability initiatives by
collecting, analyzing and interpreting the data of energy and water
intensities, Carbon foot print.

Job Context:

Measure the excellence and scope of the wide gamut of
manufacturing engineering and service related tasks and ensuring optimal
utilization of resources


and Key Performance of each team in Fabric Area is measurable in terms of
Quality, Cost, Delivery, Creativity, Productivity, Morale and Safety


Participate in external and internal audits; raise NCRs;
compile documents and act on it accordingly with MFTS.


Lead WCM subcommittees and focus on process quality issues,
identify trends, and communicate with team members for resolution.


Assisting in
imbibing the culture of Internal Customer


Promote and support
a culture of Continuous Improvement and Innovation; thus build vitality
and enable company as a whole to grow and profit

h) Facilitate teams to work on the sustainability

i) Provide support in managing and organizing review of results.

Key Accountability Areas:


1) World Class Manufacturing

Plan, coordinate and facilitate WCM
implementation in line with the WCM Road Map for Manufacturing Excellence in
the Business

Guide and
assist SCM, Quality Mgmt, Tech Mgt, people Mgt subcommittees

Lead the
Fabric Division shop floor workforce on various Tools &
Techniques of the Key Manufacturing Focused Areas

Operational Excellence; track the progress of the Operational
Efficiencies through monitoring of Key Performance Indicators based on
QCDIP and make action plans accordingly.

SCM Subcommittee:

Build a strong supply chain by
eliminating bottlenecks, unnecessary costs, focusing attention on adding
value, promoting lean principles and improving productivity


Identify key indicators to
track the performance of value creating processes, design the processes to
meet the requirements of the stakeholders and share the best practices around
processes and metrics

QM Subcommittee:

Build a strong
quality management system by identifying quality gaps, improving process
quality, supplier quality and product quality


Study the cost
of quality and identify and segregate cost of poor quality

TM Subcommittee:

smooth implementation of new technology as per the requirements identified by
Unit; conceive and execute technological Upgradation plans at par with the
best in industry


Bring in
synergy across the business by sharing the impact of new technology

PM Subcommittee:

Facilitate and
support building of employee relationships, improve employee communication
channels, recognition and performance measurement systems


platforms to enhance team competitiveness and enhance team synergy

review of the Improvement Process through the assigned Subcommittee

Self-Assessment against the WCM Roadmap for the assigned Sub Committees.

Training Program on WCM concepts, PST etc.

5S and safety audit randomly and make reports on same with action plans

maintenance of world class standards across all functional levels.

2) Customer Orientation


assistance in conducting Internal and External Customer Satisfaction Surveys

of Internal & External Awards Application for enhancement of Employee
Morale / Motivation, Company Image and structured development of all Business
Processes in all the Product Groups.


Ensuring Participation and Performance of Teams
in several forums.


the required data / information; check the sanity of the same and prepare the
application documents for all external awards e.g. National Quality Awards
like IMC Ramakrishna Bajaj National Quality Award (RBNQA), CII Awards, Aditya
Birla Awards and any other Awards as and decided by the Management.


JST as and when required for final award presentations in the highest
possible caliber.

4) Employee Motivation & Reward /
