· The IPR Administrator will be responsible for management and administration of patent and trademark filing and prosecution activities in India and overseas, working along with local & global teams.

· The IPR Administrator shall ensure documents and records are maintained in a correct and timely manner, shall attend to IPR related administrative matters independently and in cooperation with the concerned such as inventors as well as internal and external trademark/patent attorneys.

Detailed Description

· The IPR Administrator will be responsible for management and administration of patent and trademark filing and prosecution activities in India and overseas, working along with local & global teams.

· Preparation of documentation relevant to trademarks and/or patents as appropriate and monitoring various formalities/processes relevant to the filing of patent or trade mark applications.

· The IPR Administrator shall ensure documents and records are maintained in a correct and timely manner, shall attend to IPR related administrative matters independently and in cooperation with the concerned such as inventors as well as internal and external trademark/patent attorneys.

· Creation and processing of invoices; instructing the payment of all application, prosecution and renewal fees and invoices.

· Acts as a point of contact for IPR related enquiries, in particular for the Indian inventors and external patent attorneys, seeking and sharing information.

· Dealing with incoming and outgoing communications via e.g. email, letter.

· Instructing overseas agents to attend to filing of new patent, trade mark applications (including national phase of PCT applications).

· Assist with other ad-hoc responsibilities and administrative tasks as appropriate.

· Preparation and handling of all ancillary documentation as necessary (i.e. file management, photocopying, scanning etc).

Job Requirements

· Two or more years of experience as IPR administrator, preferably in a law firm or company in-house IPR team.

· Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

· Experience of managing IP portfolios, use of a data management system, liaising with attorneys, preparing various IPR documentation/online filings etc.

· Good understanding of trademark/patent processes in different jurisdictions, particularly in India.

· Excellent organization and prioritization skills, as well as ability of collaboration and networking in multicultural and global environment.

· Must be able to work at intermediate to advanced level in Microsoft Office (excel in particular), internet and other like technologies.

· Knowledge of IPR management database / tools is an advantage.

  • Able to work under tight deadlines, ensure expected cycle time, and excellent accuracy in all projects.
