Key Responsibilities: Size & Scope of the role, Key Stakeholders, Areas of accountability, Results expected, etc. Retail Marketing – maintain strong ties with key retailers (Crossword, Landmark, Hamleys) to secure retail spaces and drive visibility for the Disney, Marvel and Star Wars brands at the stores through clutter-breaking visual merchandising and engagement activities. Key Account Management – Work closely with key licensees (contributing 60% of the business) to develop joint marketing plans and drive execution of the multi-media campaigns across platforms and at retail. Brand Custodianship – Champion custodianship of the Disney, Marvel and Star Wars brands, internally within the company and with external stakeholders.
The various responsibilities include - Retail Execution – work closely with licensees and partners to build visibility and relevance for the Disney, Marvel and Star Wars franchises and merchandise at retail Client Servicing – Drive execution of joint marketing campaigns for key accounts Creative facilitation: Work closely with external agencies on various projects to ensure all the communication / creative elements are executed in sync with the marketing plans Consumer & Product Research – work with research agencies on key consumer research studies for better understanding of consumer purchase behaviours and attitudes towards Disney products in key product categories Information management: ensure regular flow of information pertaining to franchise and company-wide initiatives from internal teams to external stakeholders and documentation of completed projects Brand custodianship – develop a good understanding of the Disney Marvel Star Wars brands and drive consistency in brand representation Years of Experience, Educational and Professional Qualifications, Type of Industry Experience, etc. required: - Qualification : 3-4 years, preferably an MBA Experience in advertising/marketing, brand solutions, retail would help, with client servicing / people management skills. Required - Exposure to ATL/BTL digital media, promotions, social media and on-ground events. Should be a Disney fan with knowledge of some of the key characters and stories Desirable - Exposure to different facets of marketing and brand management.
Understanding of the retail landscape in India / background in retail would be a bonus The individual should have demonstrated capability of handling execution of projects independently. Summary of the role: Overall contribution to the team, department and organisation : - This is a key role within the Disney Consumer Products team. The individual would be involved in the planning and execution of key marketing and retail activities for Disney merchandise programs, in collaboration with partners including licensees, retailers and third party tie-ups across the product categories of Fashion, Apparel & Accessories, Toys, Home products, Stationery and School Supplies.
